• Warm water
• Coldwater
• Dishwashing liquid soap
• Clean cloth/paper towel
• Baking soda
• Vinegar

DIY Carpet Cleaning Solution Using Liquid Soap 

Recipe and cleaning method 

• Take an empty spray bottle and fill it with cold water and another spray bottle with a mixture of  ¼ teaspoon – mild dishwashing soap and  1 cup – warm water
• Use a clean cloth and spray the soap solution on it 
• Dab the cloth on the carpet stain
• Now take a sponge or another clean cloth and smudge it 
• Continue doing it some time
• Take another cloth and spray it with cold water and wash the soap solution on the carpet

DIY Carpet Cleaning Solution Using Vinegar 

Recipe and cleaning method  

• Create a mixture of 1 tablespoon – liquid soap, 1 tablespoon – vinegar, and 2 cups – warm water 
• Wet a clean cloth with the mixture and sponge on the stain 
• Continue doing it and blot it with a dry cloth
• Repeat the process until the stain gets vanished
• You can later sponge it with cold water and then blot dry

It works best for spilled tea, coffee and red wine stains.

DIY Carpet Cleaning Solution Using Isopropyl Alcohol

Recipe and cleaning method 

• Use isopropyl alcohol for cleaning. Wet a clean cloth with it
• Now dab it on the stained area on the carpet. 
• Do not rub or scrub as it can spread the stain more
• Let the alcohol content soak for a few minutes
• Later, use a vacuum to dry the wet patch
• Repeat the steps again and again until the stain disappears
